Version 2-00-17 has primarily been created to allow users with dedicated servers to run Green Logic in a more traditional Client/Server fashion, utilising the Remote Apps functionalilty in-built with all recent versions of Windows Server operating systems. In short, users who adopt this approach will be able to remotely use Green Logic from any computer, with an internet connection and a web browser running on a Windows PC (Mac users should also be able to connect up). It will require a properly configured domain for the Remote Apps to work correctly.

The main benefit of this approach is speed of operation. You will no longer be transferring large amounts of data over your network for each PC to process. Instead this all happens on the server and all that gets transferred over the network/internet is the view of the screen.

Please contact Nik for more information if you are interested in adopting this method of using Green Logic, which at present is still undergoing Beta testing.
There are some additional bug fixes and speed tweaks in this version, most notably a workaround for the bug many have experienced whereby you've had to install and run under a Runtime version to prevent Invoices from displaying an incorrect customer on screen. Once this version is installed, you should be able to remain using an Office 365 version of Access, which is faster in use and receives more regular security updates than the Runtime equivalent. Once this version is installed, if the update procedure is followed correctly, it will automatically revert to the best Office/Access version for your setup, and no further changes should be necessary.

Any users NOT wanting to use the Client/Server option, but wishing to benefit from the speed improvements - please feel free to download and install this latest release - the Client/Server updates need further modifications within Green Logic to work, so won't effect those users not wanting to utilise it.
